BAKA SMP Rules

1. Respect Each Other
   Be kind and considerate to everyone. Bullying, harassment, or toxic behavior won’t be tolerated. If someone breaks this rule, contact an admin privately.
2. Keep Creations Safe
   Do not grief, destroy, or modify someone else’s build. Always respect others’ spaces and property.
3. Stealing
   Taking items from other players — including from chests, farms, storage, or homes — without permission is strictly prohibited.
4. Consent & Ambush Policy:
   PvP must be clearly agreed upon by both players before combat begins. No ambushes or surprise attacks are allowed under any circumstances. If a player is attacked without prior agreement, it is considered a violation — even if the victim later “shrugs it off” or says “it’s okay.”
   
   However: If the victim insists that the fight was fine and chooses not to report it, the staff may issue a one-time warning to the attacker instead of taking formal action. This is a courtesy, not a loophole — the violator will still be warned and reminded that repeat offenses will result in punishment, regardless of forgiveness.
   
   This policy ensures players are not pressured into forgiving ambushes and helps maintain fair play. Always communicate clearly before engaging in PvP — consent must be given explicitly, not assumed.
5. PvP Arena & Tournament Rules
   Combat is only allowed in the official PvP Arena and must be agreed upon by both players. This includes casual duels, event matches, and official Hall of Fame tournaments held every 2 weeks.
   
   Fairness & Gear: All players will be provided with equal, unenchanted diamond equipment and an infinity bow to ensure a fair match. The winner may keep their equipment, while the loser must surrender theirs.
   
   Device Advantage Disclaimer: PvP between players on different platforms (e.g., mobile vs. desktop) is considered unfair due to control differences. These matches are not permitted unless both players explicitly agree.
   
   Entry Fee: Each participant must pay 30 Diamonds and 3 Netherite Ingots to join the tournament. This fee helps maintain the event’s value and seriousness, ensures only committed players join, and contributes to rewards, Hall of Fame updates, and server upkeep. If players find the fee unreasonable, they may request a community vote to propose a fair adjustment. However, setting the fee too low (e.g., 5 diamonds and 1 iron ingot) is not allowed, as the fee also acts as a contribution toward the server's growth and event quality.
   
   PvP Ticket Policy: Players may purchase PvP Tournament tickets from an Event Manager. The price is fixed — if an Event Manager attempts to overcharge (known as price gouging), report it to the owner immediately. PvP tickets are non-refundable and may not be resold for profit, but can be given to other players. This policy is final unless changed by the community through an official vote.
   
   Prize Pool: The Champion will receive a fixed prize of 45 Diamonds, 6 Netherite Ingots, and an exclusive Enchanted Golden Apple. The winner also gets to keep all tournament equipment they used during the match. The runner-up will receive a consolation prize of 15 Diamonds and 1 Totem of Undying as a token of recognition.
   
   These rewards are funded directly from the entry fees, while the remaining items are allocated for future events, server maintenance, and enhancements to the Hall of Fame system.
   
   Hall of Fame Spotlight: Winners will be temporarily recognized in the BAKA SMP Hall of Fame page on the website — a place of glory for the strongest PvP champion in BAKA SMP!
   
   Each player is allowed to join the tournament only once per event, but may buy multiple tickets in advance for future use.
   
   Players are encouraged to take this event seriously — it’s not just a game, but a true test of strength and skill.
6. Play Fair
   No hacking, cheating, or exploiting game bugs. Everyone should have a fair experience.
7. Admin Commands
   Admins may use commands only when necessary for moderation or server management.
8. Respect Privacy
   Don’t reveal hidden bases or disturb private areas. No stalking, spying, or screenshots without permission.
9. No Inappropriate Builds
   Builds must be appropriate for all ages. Offensive or NSFW creations are not allowed.
   
   Minor or borderline inappropriate builds (e.g., “PP towers”) may be tolerated if they are not disruptive — but if a player reports it, the build may be removed or asked to be modified by staff.
10. Be Kind in Chat
    Avoid spam, excessive caps, or toxic messages. Occasional spam is tolerated, but if it becomes annoying to others, players may report it to the admin for review.
11. Report Issues Peacefully
    Don’t retaliate or escalate problems. Use the report system or contact staff calmly if issues arise.
12. Keep the World Clean
    Remove random blocks or temporary builds. Keep the community world tidy for everyone.
13. Protect Useful Villagers
    Don’t kill toolsmiths, librarians, or other vital NPCs. They help the whole server.
14. Consequences
    Players who break rules may be jailed or punished to keep the server fair and fun. Players can be bailed out.
15. Fill Creeper Holes
    If a creeper explodes in a public or shared area, please do your best to repair the damage. While it's not a strict rule, helping out keeps the world looking nice for everyone.
